Malaysia Could Threaten Google Related Film Hina Prophet

If access is not shut down the movie, Google in Malaysia will be closed.


Minister of Information Communications and Culture Malaysia, Dr Rais Yatim, said he did not agree with the violent acts committed by Muslims in the world in protesting the film "Innocence of Muslims". In the film there's Nakoula Basseley Nakoula insult to the Prophet Muhammad.

"Conducting a demonstration that is normal in a democracy. But with violence and cause casualties fall, I do not agree, "said Rais Yatim, after attending the closing meeting of the 5th ASEM-CMM (Asia Europe Meeting Culture Minister's Meeting) in Yogyakarta, Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

According to him, the actions of violent demonstrations and even cause casualties would further exacerbate the image of Islam, who claimed to love acting with violence. "The act will only worsen the image of Muslims in the eyes of the world," he said.

The Malaysian government itself had requested YouTube owner Google as a company to close the film. We also comply with the request and block access to the movie on YouTube. "If I do not close the film then the company Google in Malaysia will be closed. But unfortunately when the film is blocked there are other people who upload them again, "said Rais.

Further DR Rais Yatim who claimed they descended from Minang deeply regrets the 5th meeting of ASEM-CMM (Asia Europe Meeting Culture Minister's Meeting) does not put the issue film "Innocence of Muslims" into one of the decisions that will be discussed level Asia-Europe. "The case is very closely related to culture and religion, which should be also discussed in the ASEM-CMM," he said.
